Expanded phone coverage – We are looking for volunteers to tend the phones Monday – Thursday 2-4pm and Fridays 9am-1pm to better meet the needs of potential students. “Drop-In Nights” begin in October! – From 5-7pm on th e 3rd Tuesday of each month, we wish to have 1-2 tutors available (plus board members) to assist adults “dropping in” for help with specific forms, letters, applications etc. This special one-time tutoring will continue to be free, 1-to-1 and confidential. Great for tutors who have limited time as well as for new tutors who would like a “student teaching” opportunity! “Drop-In Nights” will be held at Lithgow Public Library in Augusta.

International Literacy DayInternational Literacy Day helps brings attention to the nearly 800 million people over the age of 15 who cannot read, write, or do simple math. Here in the Augusta area one in six adults cannot read this sentence.
