Trainer Certification System

The Trainer Certification System supports excellence in training by providing trainers with a path for growth and development in training skills and adult education practices. Currently, Trainer Certification and Supervising Trainer Certification are offered. To become a certified trainer, you will:

Once you are a certified trainer, you may register to become a certified supervising trainer. Certification as a supervising trainer qualifies you to mentor apprentice trainers through the certification process. To become a certified supervising trainer, you will:

Trainer certification must be renewed every three years. Certification renewal is awarded based on the trainers continued activity and development. The Certification System is explained in greater detail in the Certification Manual and Certification Team Handbook. These materials are available for purchase through New Readers Press.
